06/23/2007 - Yard Work

We had another good weekend working on the house. Over the past couple of weeks, we had top soil dropped off, and spread. We are in the process of finishing installing the sprinkler system. This picture shows my mom and aunt Carol spreading lime.

Iron Count Move - 05/26/2007 (part 2)

Iron County Move - 05/26/2007

Today we moved a 12x16 shed from my parent's house to my brother's. Everything went pretty well, but we almost lost it. We did not have enough blocking and railroad jacks to lift it. My brother got hit in the face by a jack, but a beer helps to release the pressure. But overall, like typical "Thompson's" we pulled it off.

The Crew - 05/12/2007

This past weekend, we worked on my parents house. We placed over 460 block, and removed 23+ trees. The yard is starting to take shape, and is one steps closer to be completed by the time Amber and I get married at the house.

Crazy!

Long time no talk... Things have been pretty crazy for Amber and I. We have been working on wedding plans, rejoining leagues, visiting old friends, getting our new car fixed.

This past Saturday (3/31/07), Amber and I were heading toward Madison, WI and a wild turkey flew across the road. We ended up hitting it with our new car at about 70 miles per hour, it scratches the paint and put couple of dents in the hood. When you think about it, it is pretty funny. At this time, the car is in the body shop and should get it back in a week or so. Hope the body work is good. Some times you just have to sit back and laugh!!!
