Day 7 - 10/05/07 (part 2)

Departed New Castle, PA 03:00 pm (Eastern) Arrived Hartland, WI 11:00 pm (Central). Travel Distance: 558 (total 3445 miles since 9/29/07). After having lunch with Chris to celebrate his belated birthday we got on the road for the final leg of our honeymoon. This part of the road trip felt like it would take a life time. Crossing Ohio and Indiana is like watching paint to dry. It takes forever. However, after our day journey we are finally HOME!!! Because we are used to Eastern Time zone, and were not completely tired we unpacked, read our mail, and just relaxed. Welcome Back.

Day 6 - 10/04/07 (part 2)

Departed Bar Harbor, ME 6:15 am Arrived New Castle, PA 10:30 pm. Travel Distance: 935 (total 2887 miles since 9/29/07). The day of power driving, and heading home. So far our trip has been going great. Lucky for us, we are used to be in the car for long trips together. We are having a blast seeing the East Coast at 75 miles per hour. Since this is our first time, and we know that we have skipped many areas and missed so much. However, we are starting to make a mental list of sites we would like to see in the near future on another trip. Traffic has been great, except for when we missed our exit and had to do a detour. This only put us behind by 40 minutes and we ran into our only stand still traffic.

We stopped in New Castle, PA to visit Amber's brother Chris. We went to a local bar and had a few beers and wings. It was nice to see where he lives, and have a place to spend the night after a long day on the road.

Day 5 - 10/03/07 (part 2)

Bar Harbor, ME (all day). We are off to see the whales!!! However, the only thing we got to watch was the FOG! Our reservation was canceled due to fog, but we were able to go on a sailboat and see part of the coast, view lots and lots of lobster traps, and Amber was the first person to spot dolphins. We got to walk around Minocqua, sorry I mean, Bar Harbor and do some shopping. For two nights we are staying at the "Balance Rock Inn" and it has a great fog view of the ocean. Besides the fog we have had a great time and the once the fog did break it is such a peaceful environment.

Day 4 - 10/02/07 (part 2)

Departed Boston, MA 11:00 am Arrived Bar Harbor, ME 05:30 pm. Travel Distance: 301 (total 1952 miles since 9/29/07). We have finally reached our northern destination. We took our time driving up the coast, and passing through many small towns. The New England area reminded us very much of home, but we do recommend that everyone should see this part of the world. Amber tried a fresh Maine (whole) lobster, and it was not for her. I have to give her credit, I had steak. Tomorrow we have a reservation for whale watching and we are very excited!!

Day 3 - 10/01/07 (part 2)

Departed Baltimore, MD 11:00 am Arrived Boston, MA 05:00 pm. Travel Distance: 432 (total 1651 miles since 9/29/07). The day of Tolls and visiting friends. If you are ever traveling up the East Coast expect to pay tolls, and lots of them. $2 for crossing the bridge in Balitmore, $5 coming into Philadelphia, $4 toll to Delaware, $4.45 for New Jersey Turn Pike, and $6 for the George Washington bridge. A grand total of $21.45, Crazy!!! Over all the traffic has been great. When we traveled through New Jersey and New York we must have set record time. Almost no traffic, and we only had standstill traffic for 30 minutes to get over the George Washington bridge in New York City.

Because we set record time we called up Matt & Jill who live in Boston for dinner. They took us downtown, and showed us the site of the Boston Masscare, and we had dinner at an Irish Pub called "The Black Rose". After dinner we went to thier new home, and talked until 02:30 am. We had a great time.

Day 2 - 09/30/07 (part 2)

Departed Spartanburg, SC 09:00 am Arrived Baltimore, MD. Travel Distance: 636 (total 1219 miles since 9/29/07). Today was Awesome!!! We spent time at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC and did a behind the scenes tour of America's largest home. Amber and I won the house as a door prize, but we turned it down because it did not have central air. :-) We could easly spend a full weekend exploring the Biltmore, and what it has to offer. It is total recommended for everyone to visit at least once in a life time. After spending all day walking around the house, gardens, and visting the winery for taste testing we got back on the road after 05:00 pm and finally arrived at our hotel at 02:30 am. Time to go to bed, and continue on our trip to Maine.

Day 1 - 09/29/07 (part 2)

Departed Orlando, FL 1:00pm Arrived Spartanburg, SC 11:30pm. Travel Distance: 583 miles since 9/29/07. Today we are off on our second part of our honeymoon. We checked out of our hotel at Disney and picked up our rental car from Alamo (located on Disney grounds). The car was a disaster, it was dirty and over run with red ants. At first we only saw couple of them, and decided to deal with it. We headed to Savannah, GA and tried to eat at "Lady & Sons", but it was full. By this time we traded in our Chevy Colbalt at the Savannah airport, and got a Saturn Ion. No ants, and very clean, and we are heading toward Asheville, NC for a day at the Biltmore Estate.

Honeymoon - Disney World (part 1)

Amber and I are out on our honeymoon. We have been wanting to update the blog for the past couple of days, but having problems getting internet. Here is a picture of us at Epcot! We are total enjoying ourselves walking around as a married couple. We will be tring to keep it updated with our adventure as the days go by.
